Port City Colombo showcased its investment appeal at the Sri Lanka Investor Trade & Tourism Forum 2025, held on 11th July in Kuala Lumpur. The forum, organised by the Sri Lankan High Commission in Malaysia in collaboration with project developer CHEC Port City Colombo (Pvt) Ltd, aimed to highlight Sri Lanka’s growing investment opportunities, with Port City Colombo positioned as a key focus.
Held at the Royal Selangor Club, the event featured Foreign Minister Hon. Vijitha Herath as Chief Guest, alongside Malaysia’s Deputy Investment Minister Hon. Liew Chin Tong and other dignitaries. Participants included Malaysian business leaders, real estate developers, and prominent industry chambers such as NCCIM, FOMSO, FMM, and MATRADE.
Port City Colombo presented its vision as a strategic investment hub and Special Economic Zone, offering modern infrastructure and investor-friendly policies. A live Q&A session followed, addressing cross-border investment and economic cooperation between Sri Lanka and Malaysia.
The initiative reflects ongoing efforts by the High Commission and Port City Colombo to attract foreign direct investment and position Sri Lanka as a rising business destination in South Asia.
