The Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB), in collaboration with the Sri Lankan Embassy in Berlin, successfully facilitated Sri Lanka’s participation at Productronica 2025, held from 18–21 November at the Messe München Trade Fair Center in Messestadt Riem, Germany. This marks the second time the EDB has organized a Sri Lanka Pavilion at the event, following its debut in 2019.
Productronica, the world’s leading biennial trade fair for innovative solutions and products across the electronics and electrical manufacturing value chain, celebrated its 50th anniversary this year. The 2025 edition underscored the sector’s strong global momentum, attracting over 1,600 exhibitors from 52 countries and more than 47,000 visitors from nearly 100 nations.
Sri Lanka’s exhibitor lineup featured Excel Tech (Pvt) Ltd, Dynexis Pvt Ltd, ICONIC Devices Pvt Ltd, Mega Heaters Pvt Ltd, Micro Electric International Pvt Ltd, and Micro Power Engineering (Pvt) Ltd, representing the country’s growing electronic and electrical manufacturing sector.
The Sri Lanka Pavilion gained notable attention for its distinctive and innovative product offerings, drawing strong interest from international buyers and generating numerous business inquiries and new market opportunities. The country’s presence at Productronica 2025 further strengthened its profile in the EU and wider global markets, reinforcing Sri Lanka’s reputation as a reliable source of high-quality electronic and electrical products.
The Minister Counsellor (Commercial) of the Sri Lankan Embassy in Berlin visited the pavilion, extending support and encouragement to the participating companies.
In addition to Productronica, Sri Lankan exhibitors also showcased their products and capabilities at SEMICON Europa, the largest European electronics platform that brings together industry leaders across the entire microelectronics manufacturing supply chain—from semiconductors and LEDs to MEMS, printed electronics, and emerging adjacent markets.
Looking ahead, the EDB plans to organize a Sri Lanka Pavilion at Electronica 2026, also scheduled to take place at Messe München, to further promote the country’s electronic and electrical manufacturing sector.
