he Ceylon Chamber of Commerce will host a high-level business forum with a 13-member delegation from the Yunnan Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce (YPFIC) on Thursday, 26 June 2025. The delegation, led by Mr. Kang Jin, Vice Chairman of YPFIC, will engage with Sri Lankan counterparts from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the Chamber’s Board Room.
The forum aims to foster bilateral trade and investment, providing a platform for Sri Lankan businesses to connect with influential representatives from Yunnan across key sectors including agriculture, food processing, environmental technology, the tea industry, and cultural and international cooperation.
With China’s vast consumer market of over 1.4 billion and ongoing negotiations for a Sri Lanka–China Free Trade Agreement (FTA), such engagements are seen as strategic opportunities to deepen economic ties. The forum also comes at a time when Chinese consumer trends are shifting toward natural, healthy, and premium imported products—presenting promising prospects for Sri Lankan exporters.
Participation is open to interested companies with prior registration via event.chamber.lk/event-register/384. For further details, contact Kiyara at +94 11 5588875 or via email at businesscouncils1@chamber.lk.
