The Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB) will conduct a specialized training workshop aimed at enhancing the capabilities of potential exporters and small and medium-scale enterprises (SMEs) seeking to expand into international markets.
The customer-focused programme, titled “Risk Management, Strategies and Incoterms to Win Competitiveness in International Trade Beyond Borders,” is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, February 18, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Designed to strengthen export readiness and competitiveness, the workshop will be led by experienced export trainer Dinesh De Silva. Sessions will be conducted in both Sinhala and English and will feature practical exercises based on real-world industry scenarios.
Participants will receive guidance on a range of critical areas, including strategies for securing and negotiating export orders, building buyer confidence and credibility, enhancing product knowledge, and improving labeling and packaging standards. The programme will also cover strategic pricing for global competitiveness, risk management in international trade, practical application of Incoterms, and the effective use of international payment terms to ensure secure transactions.
The workshop will be held at the auditorium on the 3rd floor of the NDB-EDB Building, No. 42, Nawam Mawatha, Colombo 02.
