The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with the Indo-Lanka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ILCCI), led a high-level Sri Lankan business delegation to the prestigious CII Partnership Summit 2025 in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. The annual Summit, hosted by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), is widely regarded as a premier global forum that convenes India’s top political leadership, senior policymakers, industry captains, and influential international delegates.

The Sri Lankan delegation, representing a broad spectrum of industries, was headed by Ceylon Chamber CEO Buwanekabahu Perera. Delegates took part in the ceremonial inauguration attended by several eminent dignitaries, including India’s Vice-President C.P. Radhakrishnan and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, along with other senior government officials.

Over the course of the Summit, the delegation engaged in multiple high-level sessions centered on global trade dynamics, investment trends, digital transformation, and regional economic cooperation. These discussions provided deep insights into India’s fast-evolving economic priorities and emerging opportunities across key sectors.

In addition to the plenary sessions, Sri Lankan participants took part in a series of structured Business-to-Business (B2B) meetings with Indian and international companies. These engagements created direct pathways for trade partnerships, joint ventures, investment collaborations, and technology exchanges, strengthening commercial linkages with regional and global counterparts.

The mission significantly advanced efforts to enhance economic connectivity between Sri Lanka and India. It also underscored the commitment of the Ceylon Chamber and ILCCI to support member firms, broaden regional cooperation, and elevate Sri Lanka’s competitiveness in the global marketplace.

Both Chambers noted that continued engagement in platforms such as the CII Partnership Summit is vital to strengthening Sri Lanka’s economic diplomacy, expanding market access, and generating long-term growth opportunities for the country’s business community.
