More trade and investment opportunities for Sri Lanka explored in Indonesia

Sri Lanka explored the possibility of exporting trade products to Indonesia as well as joint venture and investment opportunities in boat and shipbuilding industry, fisheries and agricultural sector.  A business forum will be organized to connect potential partners in both countries as the next step in building cooperation.



This follows a virtual meeting the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Indonesia Yasoja Gunasekera had with the management of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) of South Sulawesi Province in Indonesia recently.



Third Secretary (Commercial) Heshani Premathilaka, gave publicity on the forthcoming virtual boat show 2021 organized by the Ministry of Trade, Export Development Board and Boat Building Technology Improvement Institute and a notice of registering foreign suppliers by Sri Lanka State Trading (General) Corporation Ltd.



 The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of South Sulawesi Province in Indonesia is located in the 4th largest city in Indonesia namely Makassar. Makassar is the hub for eastern Indonesia. This province mainly exports agricultural products such as coffee, cocoa paste, fisheries product and coconut products.
