Popular German cruise ship ‘Mein Schiff 5’ is expected to call on Port of Colombo on 29th November carrying 2030 passengers, the majority of whom are Europeans and 945 crew members.
Tourism Minister Harin Fernando in a Twitter message said the ship is expected to berth at East container terminal as the size of the ship is too big to berth at passenger terminal.
The 295m long Mein Schiff 5 is a cruise ship owned by TUI Cruises. Mein Schiff 5 is mainly similar to Mein Schiff 3, Mein Schiff 4, and Mein Schiff 6 with only minor differences to its sister vessels
The ship which will arrive in Colombo on November 29 will leave for Hambantota Port same night and will be berthed there till following day night before leaving for Penang, Malaysia.
